In conjunction with the University of Tennessee Extension Service and local 4-H clubs, Caney Fork Electric Cooperative participates in 4-H Electric Camp. 6th or 7th grade 4-H club members throughout the state may attend this camp for a nominal fee. It is a week-long camp held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. While there students participate in workshops, i.e., building an electric lamp, wind energy generation, robotics, home energy conservation, electrical safety and electric vehicles. These workshops are taught by electric cooperative personnel from electric cooperatives throughout Tennessee. The CFEC service area is represented by 4-H students from Warren, White, Van Buren and DeKalb counties.
